Participating communities receive one-on-one guidance from a dedicated Prairie-based specialist. Support may include:

  • Maturity assessment & improvement planning
  • State of service summary for council and community communication
  • Climate risk & resilience guidance
  • Funding & program navigation support

All support is free, with no fund matching required, and tailored to each community’s priorities, capacity and context.

About the program:

The Climate Toolkit Prairie Support Program provides free, hands-on support to small and mid-sized Prairie communities to strengthen infrastructure planning, manage climate-related risks and support sustainable service delivery. 

Delivered by NAMS Canada, in partnership with Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC), the program helps communities build clarity, capacity and momentum without adding cost or burden. 

Participation is free.

Who the program is for

  • Communities in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
  • Under 30,000 population
  • Communities at any stage of asset management maturity
  • Municipal staff and elected officials looking for practical, next-step support
